God’s Decorations

20120219-100107.jpg

Yesterday Peter and I enjoyed a little down time without children. We went for a drive, a hike and visited a new nearby brewery.

I was struck by the beauty of God’s decorations in this tree. Absolutely. Beautiful.

What about you?
When have you had some down time with your spouse? And when have you been struck by the beauty of God’s creation?

Linking up with Deidra and Sandra today.

Yes, my husband and I had most of the day together yesterday until 7pm when the kids returned home. It’s always rejuvenating. And I am struck by God’s beauty on a regular basis. It’s why I travel with my camera everywhere I go. Been known to swerve off to the side of the road to take a photo!

When? Just now, when I saw your photo. How does He do that?

He is the master artist. The other night, driving into choir practice, the sky exploded into color. I longed for a camera but settled for just looking in absolute amazement.

Maybe we’re more free to enjoy the beauty when we can’t capture it with lens.

This is gorgeous, Cheryl. SO glad to have found your blog – somehow, I’ve missed it til now. And now I’m going to try and subscribe. :>)

I’m glad you made your way here, Diana. It’s my second blog – the first was more business oriented. This blog reflects a shift in how God has been moving in my life over the last year and a half.

Cheryl, Disqus seems to be eating my comments today–here and elsewhere. I was here earlier. Love this picture.

We don’t have a whole lot of time together out and about… and it ain’t b/c of kids or g-kids.  It’s because we both are so involved in ministries and they are at all kinds of different times and places.  However, even w/o leaving the house, we cuddle on a couch in the basement and watch a fun or favorite movie, something we can enjoy and laugh at.   We both love to ride and drive, so the day will come again… we’re both looking forward to it.  In the meantime, we just love each other and our Lord.  Nothing is more important.
